AAA DOG DAY
Mission Statement
My mission is to…
Respect dogs for the amazing animals they are and help their owners help them live their happiest and healthiest life. Advocate for dogs by empowering them and their owners through shared, natural and effective communication skills. Treat each dog/owner relationship as unique. Help to build trust between the owner and the dog. Take the least intrusive and minimally aversive route possible with the dog’s physical and emotional welfare being paramount. Create a safe space for learning and trust for both owner and dog. What does AAA stand for?ACKNOWLEDGE the dog.
Dogs are a unique animal and it’s important to understand and respect that. Each dog is an individual animal with needs to be met. Meet these needs and you will have an animal that is happy, balanced and healthy. ARTICULATE in a shared language. Dogs are constantly communicating with us as well as understanding a lot more from us than we give them credit for. Learn how to tap into this language and communicate clearly with your dog to improve your bond and lifestyle together. ADVOCATE for your dog. Dogs are animals living in a human society. It’s a lot to expect of them without guidance, understanding and respect. Set them up for success and they will learn quickly. Understanding and advocating for your dog’s boundaries as well as respecting those of others leads to a happier coexistence and safer society for dogs and humans. |
